Adobe’s reflection removal tool is unfinished

Not surprisingly. Adobe usually introduces new features, then refines them over time. It happened with the noise removal tool, and now with the one that removes reflections. Here are some examples from Lightroom:

Artifacts can be easily cleaned. I also applied a preset. The result looks good.

+1.5 EV. Notice the bigger artifacts that would take quite some time to fix.
Cars have lots of reflections. Unfortunately, Lightroom did nothing to remove them.

This time Lightroom decided to remove the sunlight hitting the water

If you’re taking photos through a window, this is really useful (as long as weird artifacts don’t take up a lot of your image). Anything more complicated than that and you’re in trouble.
