Copenhagen on digital and film

I think it’s safe to say I’ve made a habit of bringing both digital and film camera gear whenever I leave the country. Copenhagen was no different. We wanted to experience the Christmas atmosphere in a Scandinavian city and the Danish capital didn’t disappoint.

Since daylight is pretty limited at the end of November, I decided to leave the Fujifilm X100 home and take the Sony a6300 and the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC DN. The lens may be a bit tight for street photography, but the wide aperture more than makes up for it.

As for the film part, I paired my Minolta CLE with the Voigtlander 40mm f/1.4 SC and shot a roll of Ilford HP5 Plus. Although part of me wanted to shoot a bit wider, I saw no point in taking the TTArtisan 28mm f/5.6 with me.

One other habit I picked up from my trips is coming back with a roll of film. This time I managed to find an expired Kodachrome 64 (01/2002) which I’ll definitely remember to expose accordingly.
