Photography Challenge #1

This is the first challenge of the year, part of the Dogwood52 calendar. The aim was to tell a story taking a self-portrait, but without showing my face.

Take a picture that tells us who you are, without actually showing your face.

I started with this:

Shot with the Sony a6300, Sigma 30mm f/1.4 | Imaging Edge Remote Control

Initially, I wanted to focus on both my body and the reflection. However, after playing for a few minutes with the crop tool, I flipped the image, played with the exposure and colors and changed the proportion to a vertical 4×5, for Instagram:

The result turned out a bit different from the challenge. Every person has a private side, and that’s what I believed I achieved in showing with this photo.
