Photography Challenge #2

Whenever there’s a foggy couple of days I get stressed. Usually, there’s no color to work with so I just wait for the weather to get better. However, the second challenge of the year focused on motion and on the rule of thirds. Since I was stuck at work for the entire day, I had to try some things.

The lunch break was again my savior. There’s a lot of traffic where I work. So I shot many photos for five minutes, mostly of brightly colored cars. Thank God for taxis! This is what I started with:

Not a lot to work with, but the taxi is the main focus. So: cropping, editing, healing, and clone stamping. After about 20 minutes, I can’t decide which orientation looked better.

In the end, I chose the horizontal one. It’s more in tune with the car, it makes me focus on its movement. Overall I’m pleased.
