When you point a camera at the planets, moons and stars, it doesn’t take long to realize we are so small. To prove this, I rented the Sony FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS and the 2x teleconverter and took a few photos of the International Space Station with our Moon as its backdrop.
My first thought was that I’ve finally discovered the recipe for Moon photography that doesn’t require cropping. What you see above is what 1200mm looks on an APS-C body. In other words, that’s like using a 1800mm lens on a full frame camera. But my second thought was that even with all this glass, the International Space Station looks so tiny. So do we.
